Our Interview Process

Our internship program has a unique hiring process for each role so interviews may be a little different depending on the individual position. But generally, you’ll go through a few interviews with different team members. For technical roles, you’ll typically do 1-2 live code pair sessions in your interviews and finish off with a cultural interview. For non-technical roles, you'll complete 2-3 interviews consisting of discussions with the hiring manager and their direct reports. The people interviewing you will probably ask about your experience and background, so come prepared to discuss your current experiences and future career aspirations. You’ll be assigned an experienced recruiter who will help guide you through the process and ensure any interviews work with your current school schedule.

What does a summer
internship look like?

Flexible Work

The internship is primarily designed around being a robust remote experience, and our team works with interns from schools all across the US and Canada! During the internship, interns have the option of working fully remotely from home, or near a GoDaddy office location and working in a hybrid capacity. We know for many students, summer housing plans can change unexpectedly, so we strive to be as flexible as possible for working locations. Location options and specific office details will be discussed at the time of the offer.

Sweet Swag

At GoDaddy, we wear our love for the company on our sleeves — literally! We switch it up a little every year, but interns can expect to be hooked up with anything from backpacks, tech accessories, T-shirts, and other awesome things created just for them.

Facetime with GoDaddy Leadership

Interns will get the unique opportunity to interact directly and learn from members of the GoDaddy Senior and Executive leadership teams. The exact sessions change yearly, but interns can expect to interface with leaders in lunch and learns, Hackathon judging, and live Q&As!

Conversion Opportunities

The GoDaddy internship program strives to operate as a pipeline for entry-level talent to enter full-time new college grad roles. High-performing interns often receive an offer to return as a new college grad hire after they complete their schooling (or return for a second internship if graduation is still a year off). In 2023, over 80% of eligible interns in the summer program converted to full-time roles.

All work and no play? No Way.

We proactively build community amongst our interns by scheduling a multitude of sessions, which allow for bonding and camaraderie during the program. Interns will attend multiple virtual engagement events throughout the summer, full of learnings and opportunities to meet and interact with peers remotely. Additionally, all interns get a “buddy” assigned for the summer. Intern “buddies” are current full-time employees from different teams who meet with an assigned intern weekly to assist with navigating the internship and creating a supportive environment.

Intern Collaboration

While most interns will be spread across various cities and states, they will all work directly with other interns, project teams, and receive continuous support from the Emerging Talent team to help set them up for success. Interns will participate in a virtual GoDaddy for Good event, team up and compete in a hackathon, and so much more during the program!
