Senior Partnership Manager - App Ecosystem

If designated as hybrid, you’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and an office location, so you should live within commuting distance. If designated as remote, you’ll be working remotely from your home and may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites. This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

What you'll get to do...

We are seeking a passionate, curious, and focused App ecosystem Senior Partnership Manager to join our team! This role will be a part of GoDaddy Commerce team. In this role, you will have a direct influence on helping existing & potential Partners that are App Developers to expand their business on GoDaddy platform, increase their outreach, and give developers new revenue channels to drive monetization for them and GoDaddy.

As the Ecosystem Partnership Manager, you will directly demonstrate your market knowledge and networks to identify the most innovative app partners. This will advance our product over the long term, helping to create advantage for our merchants in order to get started, grow and scale with GoDaddy. You will be responsible for finding new App Partners, developing relationships with all App Partners and making these 3rd parties successful within the GoDaddy App ecosystem. You will work closely with product management, sales, developer support & operations, to ensure that there is solid alignment on support SLAs and go-to-market strategies for all App on GoDaddy Commerce marketplace.

  • Discover, qualify, reach out and close partnerships with 3rd party tools which fit into GoDaddy App Store ecosystems.
  • Identify and build new strategic app partnership opportunities that have high potential to drive new merchants to GoDaddy Commerce.
  • After launching an App, working collaboratively with the developer platform team to generate adoption through mutual marketing efforts, internal education, content creation, and more
  • Contribute to growing partnerships over time by nurturing a long-term relationship, encouraging a deep understanding of partner objectives and values, and being laser-focused on important metrics
  • Be able to deeply understand and speak to GoDaddy strategic positioning in the market, who GoDaddy customers are, and why we build products the way we do.
  • Understand the competitive landscape & understand GoDaddy approach to product and platform building
  • Evangelize the App Store and its value proposition to both internal and external partners.
  • Lead discussion amongst cross functional teams within GoDaddy including Product, Engineering, Marketing, Support, Legal, and Finance to complete various opportunities that drive the success of merchants.
  • Work with existing and new partners to or explore product integrations and/or develop new business models, securing agreement from cross-functional partners and leadership, internally and externally.
  • Negotiate deals with one or more strategic partners both locally and globally.

Your experience should include...

  • 5+ years of experience building partnerships in the commerce and technology industry. Developer marketplace experience is a strong plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications: You will be required to explain concepts in written and verbal formats to a variety of audience
  • Experience with product integrations, API’s and the development and execution of strategic roadmaps.
  • Experience in business development and building growth strategies and verticals.
  • Proven ability to develop effective working relationships and excel in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with Point of Sale and/or eCommerce platforms is a strong plus
  • Experience with WooCommerce and/or WordPress is a strong plus

GoDaddy's compensation is local to where you are and may vary based on an individual's qualifications at the time of the offer. The anticipated annual base salary ranges for select locations are listed below:

  • Seattle, New York City - $128000.00 to $160000.00
  • Colorado, Washington State - $102500.00 to $128000.00
