As a Principal Software Engineer - Security in our Threat and Response organization, You will lead the development and architecture of the Threat intelligence platform at GoDaddy, ensuring that it meets the technical and business requirements from the main partners and consumers, also assist in Incident response when needed by, writing code to facilitate handling incidents, reverse engineer malware. You will write code, automate and conduct various threat intelligence operations such as threat actor profiling, OSINT gathering, and reverse engineering malware. You will also build processes and playbooks for various Threat related tasks.
You’ll work in our Tempe, Scottsdale or Kirkland office. However, we may be open to this role being fully remote.

Solve end-to-end problems
Perform code reviews and participate in defining and supporting coding standard methodologies.
Build Agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our services
Adopt DevOps methodologies for enabling and supporting always-on services
Write, edit and improve technical documentation.
Support, mentor and help develop other engineers in the team
Engage with engineers & partners across GoDaddy to solve problems with broad impact (from group-wide to company-wide impact).
Enable and lead automated ingestion of threat data into TIP from commercial vendor APIs as well as from internal GoDaddy technologies.
Develop workflows and playbooks utilizing TIP to parse, format, and tag imported threat data, create new data objects, and define data object values and metadata.
Enable TIP to automatically disseminate select threat data to GoDaddy security appliances, including writing custom scripts as well as working with off-the-shelf integrations/apps.
Innovate new technologies and strategies to support automated threat hunting.
Build integrations and tooling to be used by incident response engineers and other InfoSec teams.
Perform advanced analysis and reverse engineering of malware
Your experience should include
- BS/MS or equivalent experience in a computer science, engineering, information systems or related field.
- 10+ years of industry experience in a Software Engineering role and building large scale platform.
- Validated experience in a programming language in Python OR Go Lang OR similar technology.
- Strong understanding of git and git-based workflows.
- Working with highly agile development teams.
- Creating RESTful APIs to power web applications.
- Solid base in data structures, algorithms, software designs, micro services.
- Building CI/CD and server/deployment automation solutions.

- Understanding of cyber security principles and Threat intelligence knowledge
- Knowledge of big data and deep learning technology
- Knowledge of Security DevOps
- Knowledge in Reverse engineer malware and software reversing
