Sr. User-Experience (UX) Designer needed to lead the design efforts of GoDaddy’s Customer Site Experience (websites generated by GoCentral website builder). To be successful in this role, you should have in-depth knowledge of design systems, strong visual design style and layout techniques. We are seeking a candidate that can think through complicated design systems and challenge existing constraints. Candidates should also have experience executing design projects from conception to production, delivering high quality pieces on tight deadlines, as well as defining and implementing success metrics.

The Sr. UX Designer plays an integral role in the development of our products and customer websites. Working closely with all in-house teams involved in the development process, the Sr. UX Designer will contribute and help lead the planning, research, design and execution of a design system that will produce aesthetically-pleasing high-quality sites for our customers. Candidate must be an expert communicator, systems thinker, possess a clear understanding of business goals and user behavior, and be proficient in a wide variety of skills, ranging from psychology to design and technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the design lead for GoCentral’s Customer Site Experiences

  • Establish a repeatable process for producing great design

  • Work directly with the product and engineering team to shape and expand limits of the current design system

  • Conducting regular user testing and research

  • Define and implement success metrics

  • Oversee projects through the creative process and ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met

  • Ensure documentation is continuously updated and distributed to the team

  • Create interactive design concepts and accompanying prototypes

  • Researching competitive sites, existing initiatives, past projects and consumer research

  • Collaborating with project team members to develop organizational/structural concepts for projects

Requirements:

  • Expert at building consensus and driving forward motion

  • Expert communicator - able to inspire and sell a vision

  • Experience applying research and analysis to site development

  • Proven interpersonal skills, client relation skills and ability to work in a team environment

  • Proven creative thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Proven understanding of and experience with: user-centered design techniques; development of organizational/structural concepts for Web site; project processes for the development of large scale Web site projects; documentation requirements for Web development teams; application of content management, personalization, targeting and searching systems

  • Thorough, detail-oriented and highly organized, including ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines

  • Preferably, experience with: software development process/business analysis; user research, usability practices and testing

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, with multidisciplinary backgrounds such as psychology, computer science, information sciences, human/computer interface design or commerce/business or experience equivalent

  • At least 2 years' related industry experience in new media, information technology, communications, or library/information science
