At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. You may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or meetings.

We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to focus on helping us build and support next-generation cloud infrastructure.
In this role, you will build and maintain GoDaddy’s globally distributed, large-scale private cloud infrastructure, providing virtual machines, software-defined storage, and networking that powers websites and applications worldwide. If you believe in end-to-end automation using GitOps and are interested in infrastructure fundamentals such as computer networks and virtualisation, we’d like to speak with you.
GoDaddy's Global Compute team empowers engineers to help small business customers start, grow, and run their ventures. Hundreds of GoDaddy teams and millions of customers use the team's Cloud platforms to run GoDaddy products. What you'll get to do...
- Collaborate with dedicated engineering teams to build, run, and support cost-effective, robust private cloud infrastructures
- Participate in SRE/DevOps, releases, and on-call activities to support the infrastructure and customers and provide delightful experiences
- Develop and maintain infrastructure deployment automation for large scale infrastructure using Puppet and Ansible
- Develop and maintain infrastructure tooling using Python
- Contribute to open-source projects such as Puppet, Ansible, OpenStack, Qemu, or libvirt, as needed
- Troubleshoot code or infrastructure level problems
Your experience should include...
- 2+ years of experience in site reliability engineering
- Development experience in any programming language. We typically use Python
- Proficiency in Linux
- Experience with deployment automation tooling such as Ansible or Puppet
- Interest in complex distributed networking, system performance tuning, monitoring, software, system and network security
- Analytical and multi-task abilities to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Highly motivated and collaborative individual
- Good English skills – both verbal and written
You might also have...
- Experience in contributing to open-source projects
- Expertise in virtualisation technologies such as OpenStack, KVM, and Open vSwitch
- Experience with Cloud platform technologies such as AWS or Azure
- Working within an Agile development environment
- Experience with zero-day security incidents and disaster recovery
