At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.

This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. Once we can safely travel, you may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or offsites. 

What you'll get to do...

As an Account Recovery and Security Specialist, you will be part of a high-performing team within the Global Advanced Operations group that is primarily responsible for the customer support of GoDaddy’s Domain Security related processes. Account Recovery and Security Specialists are responsible for supporting customers’ requests through a multitude of methods, which include direct email, internal chat, and escalations. As an Account Recovery and Security Specialist, you will become familiar with processes such as Change of Accounts/Email Updates, Two-Factor Cancellation, High Risk Transfers, Account Compromises, and train on all the necessary tools to support more advanced issues.

  • Train and become proficient in our processes as designated by business need in order to maintain service level agreement response times
  • Build proficiency in domain level tools which include Registry Portals, RegManager, and Case Management tools
  • Provide exemplary, professional service to our customers through all interactions which include direct email, internal chat, and escalations
  • Authenticate government-issued IDs (passports and driver’s licenses) and other types of documents (Business licenses, Tax certificates, DBAs, Fictitious Name documentation, IRS 501(C)3, Determined Letters, Government-issued certificate of tax exemption, EIN/TIN verification letter (IRS Letter 147C, etc.)
  • Quickly pivot attention and focus based on business and customer needs

Your experience should include...

  • 1 + years of experience of Customer Service
  • Experience as an account recovery specialist is preferred
  • Customer first mindset - the ability to change approach based on customer needs
  • Excellence in verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Capacity to learn and adapt quickly, and ability to prioritise and work independently
  • Ability to maintain high levels of energy and focus while working repetitive tasks
