At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time, others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a remote position, so you’ll be working remotely from your home. Once we can safely travel, you may occasionally visit a GoDaddy office to meet with your team for events or off-sites.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.
What you'll get to do...
eCommerce platform powers all the commerce activity for GoDaddy and is at the heart of GoDaddy’s business. We are now building a new cloud-based stack from ground up to power eCommerce for GoDaddy. One of the core parts of the eCommerce is the Catalog that stores all products, offers, prices and discount data. This is a large-scale service that serves GoDaddy customers all across the globe. The Catalog is also the one of the most widely used tools used internally at GoDaddy. Along with revamping of the Catalog backend services we are also building the Catalog application from scratch to make it fast, responsive, and more user friendly. We are looking the for a Principle engineer to come and set the technical direction for the team as we start on our journey
Join our team
As a member of the Catalog team, you get to influence almost every product launch at GoDaddy. The Catalog Application serves as the front end of all eCommerce Catalog to the company and is used to manage all the products for GoDaddy and its resellers. You get to join the team in its infancy and set the technical direction. You will act as the technical lead for the project, mentor and grow engineers on the team, drive architecture and roadmap for a critical application for GoDaddy.
- Defining architecture for the Catalog Application
- Influence Technology design choices for the team
- Partners with stakeholders and Product Managers to understand requirements and translate them into architecture and design
- Serve as the technical lead for the team
- Mentor engineers on the team
- Help define roadmap for the Catalog application as well as backend service
Your experience should include...
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8+ years' experience with software development. 5+ in front-end development, responsive web design, and scalable architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile (Scrum) software development, Git/GitHub, and related tools
- Strong written and spoken communication
- Strong Business sense and technical vision and a willingness to be express and discuss your ideas
You might also have...
- Full stack experience is a plus.
- Web-based large-scale E-commerce experience in geo-distributed, localized environments is a plus

GoDaddy's compensation is local to where you are and may vary based on an individual's qualifications at the time of the offer. The anticipated annual base salary ranges for select locations are listed below:
- Seattle, New York City - $188000.00 to $235000.00
- Colorado, Washington State - $160000.00 to $200000.00
