You apply expert-level knowledge of computer science principles and web development best practices every day to constantly innovate and improve a product or platform with a specific eye towards security. You seek to automate, instrument, secure, and make data driven decisions. You strive to enable our business partners and end-customers connect in new ways that help them succeed. You are experienced with CI/CD and development best practices and can mentor new developers confidently. You are comfortable in all aspects of agile development methodology and know how to direct Scrum ceremonies. You can develop novel new software libraries and features from scratch with little direction and can design and socialize important software updates across the team. You have a cross-team approach and are capable of working with several teams together to validate broad, far-reaching software designs, divide work for implementation and drive good process, code review and testing methodologies across a larger group.

This security focused position will help find and write tools to find, fix, prevent, and monitor security, compliance and security issues in our code base.  Act as a bridge between software development and the security world's helping our teams develop more secure architectures while maintaining performance, and usability of the product.

Responsibilities:

  • Find, Build or recommend for purchase tools that automate the detection, remediation, prevent and monitor security problems in our products.
  • EG: Static security code analysis, correlation of signatures to CVEs
  • Network scanning
  • Chaos Monkey type testing
  • Fuzz/Vuln/Pen testing
  • Evangelize a secure coding practices
  • Automating a secure developer workflow
  • Identify anomalies in a product env and automate calls to defeat an attack
  • Identify a DDOS attack and make calls to Network Defense API
  • Identify abusive and black whole-ing traffic
  • Help customers Tweak / Tune WAF
  • AMI/Image Hardening
  • Working with our security team and our application services team develop secure methodologies for CICD pipelines including deployment of secrets
  • Be a bridge between Security and the development, and compliance and development.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Math, or equivalent degree or experience
  • 10+ years of relevant full-time software engineering experience
  • Work on a secure coding team, done malware/virus analysis or forensics.
  • Knowledge of AWS secure deployment best practices a plus
  • Actively programs in C/C++, Java, .Net, Go, or Python, understanding how the languages work and the impact on security\
