What you'll get to do...

Our Domain Registrars and Investors team is looking for a senior software engineer to join us in building and improving the domain name experience at GoDaddy. As a senior software development engineer, your day-to-day will involve working with cutting edge technologies such as React JS, Node JS, Next JS, K8s, and AWS.

This is a fast-growing space within GoDaddy, and we're building exciting new features and experiences applying machine learning model and data science. You'll be joining Domain Registrars and Investors (DRI), a core business unit within GoDaddy, creating new platforms and tools for our customers. You will get the opportunity to be part of building high profile services in AWS that make significant impact internationally.

We value strong software engineers with experience in micro services, distributed systems, and a dedicated customer focus.  Our software engineers own their product and platform end-to-end, especially their design and code quality.  They are responsible for thinking beyond unit tests to integration and functional tests as well as automation efforts. Come shine within a small, high-impact team of dedicated engineers as we build and iterate upon the world's largest domain name registrar services and largest secondary marketplace for domain investors.

Responsibilities:

  • A highly motivated, self-driven engineer
  • Someone with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Someone who cares about maintainability of the code and optimizing for performance + scalability
  • Writing and maintaining quality code in React, JavaScript, Typescript, and Node.js
  • Accountable for code quality and writing unit and integration tests
  • Working collaboratively with a distributed team
  • Perform code reviews to suggest, encourage, and support coding best practices

Your experience should include...

  • Very strong object-oriented programming and design fundamentals
  • Strong understanding of Javascript and Typescript
  • 4+ years Professional Single Page Web Application development experience in related technologies
  • 2+ years Experience developing in React JS
  • Experience with Git
  • Experience building software using Agile concepts and processes
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

You might also have...

  • Experience with Amazon AWS and building inside the AWS platform
  • Experience working with containerized solutions
  • Strong understanding of software security best practices
  • Passion for quality, user experience, and cutting edge web technologies
